John Malvik

John Malvik (Senior Attorney) was admitted to the bar in 1974. He is licensed to practice in the state of Illinois, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts of Northern and Central Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Augustana College in English Education and his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and the Rock Island County Bar Association. He is past Chairman and Newsletter Editor for the Illinois Bar’s Standing Committee on Law Related Education for the Public. John served on the Rock Island County Board (chairing several committees) and the Bi-State Regional Commission, where he served as the Chair of the Finance and Personnel Committees. He formerly taught business law at Blackhawk College and has been a guest lecturer on legal issues at both Blackhawk and Augustana Colleges. He has been selected for inclusion in the Leading Lawyers Network for Illinois, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the World and Men of Achievement. John is a recipient of a Letter of Commendation from the Illinois State Bar Association and he is also a court Certified Arbitrator and Mediator. He currently serves as a commissioner of the Quad-City International Airport Authority.

John concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury, worker’s compensation, labor law, and bankruptcy.
