RESTRAINING ORDERS

order of protection

Domestic violence is a serious crime against an individual and can cause extreme emotional and physical harm to its victims. Domestic violence is against the law and you have the right to be protected against further abuse by requesting a court order which effectively prohibits the abuse and reduces the abuser’s access to you and, when necessary, the children involved.

If you are — or have been — the victim of domestic violence, you may obtain an Order of Protection to protect you from further contact or abuse from your perpetrator. Contact Winstein, Kavensky & Cunningham who will guide you through the necessary steps to obtain an Order of Protection.
